A report by the media outlet “The Information” says that Apple will now hold the launch in two phases, which is usually held in the fall every year. This decision is to prioritize the foldable phone and facilitate production.
Apple will launch the iPhone 18 Pro, Pro Max, iPhone 18 Air, and the foldable iPhone in the fall of 2026. However, the standard iPhone 18 and the low-cost iPhone 18e have been postponed to the spring of 2027. This move is to reduce the hassle of manufacturing six iPhone models at the same time. Apple is also planning to test these budget models in factories in India. This is part of a plan to reduce dependence on production in China.

The foldable iPhone is said to come in a “book-like” design. It will have a 5.5-inch outer screen when folded and a larger 7.8-inch screen when unfolded.
